This is the true story of Enrique, a Honduran teenager who embarks on an arduous and dangerous journey in search of his mother, who was forced to leave Enrique to go to the United States to work. Enrique's story reflects the daily struggle of migrants, legal and illegal, and the complex decisions they face just to try to survive and meet the basic needs of their families. The book includes eight pages of photos and an epilogue describing what Enrique and his family have experienced since the original adult edition of his memoir was published.
