Description
Recounts the true story of Mary Edwards Walker, a remarkable and unconventional woman who was one of the first female doctors in the United States, a suffragist and crusader for dress reform for women (she wore pants and eschewed corsets as unhealthy), and when the Civil War struck, she took to the battlefields in a modified Union uniform as a commissioned doctor, a service for which she earned the Medal of Honor.
